Hello SAA
Members & Others! There are still spaces available
for the fall workshop by Mr. Big Brush himself, Peter Humeniuk.
Join us from September 10th to 14th at the Tidnish Community
Hall for a week of superior painting instruction. Peter
sent the following note about the workshop:
“I
was taught watercolours by a wonderful man who was a World
War 2 Artist, his name was Carl Schaefer. He taught me
to always seek and paint the emotion of the subject by
understanding the language of art. Like literature art also
has a language that tells a story. I will show students how
to make a rough sea look rougher, in other words, how to
paint terror not rough water. This language is the building
block for art regardless of the level of the painter. The
workshop is geared for any level beginner to advanced. I
don`t change anything in my style of painting, only the
drawing becomes more intense, I leave this up to the
students . We guarantee the workshop will be relaxed and fun
for all. Pauline makes sure of that.”
Cost
of the workshop is $325.00 PLUS SAA Membership fee ($15.00)
if you are not already a member.
A
deposit of $100.00 is required immediately.
The
balance must be paid by Friday, August 24th.
