Paint loose, exciting watercolors with Peter on Saturdays at the Park Rec Center in Grand Marais. Location: Grand Marais Rec Center Dates: Sat.Jun.26 12:30pm-3:30pm Sat.July 3 12:30pm-3:30pm Sat.July 10 12:30pm-3:30pm Cost: $30 each session (use your supplies) $35 each session (use Peter's supplies) Leave each session with your own watercolor painting matted and ready for framing. Our workshops are small (maximum 20 participants) and fun (very relaxed atmosphere). Peter paints in a loose, spontaneous manner and students are encouraged to do the same....."don't worry about painting inside the lines"......"let the water work it's magic" are two of his favourite sayings.
Peter's unique style, "secret tool", and step-by-step approach make watercolour easy for all. Participants can expect to take home AT LEAST two "keepers", maybe more, as time is allocated for at least one demo and 4 complete paintings. With Peter demonstrating and supervising each step along the way and me (Pauline) helping out in general where needed, everyone gets individual help. Student work is matted and displayed throughout the weekend so.....there are lots of "pats on the back" and a good opportunity to see improvement. Even participants who have never painted before are amazed at their own results.
Typical Weekend Workshop Schedule:
- Saturday 9am-5pm - 2 complete step-by-step paintings punctuated by coffee/lunch/more coffee/tea/more demos.
- Sunday 9am-4pm - 2 complete step-by-step paintings/coffee etc/draw for Peter's demos/individual help.
